| Application Re-hosting (Oracle Tuxedo ART) |

Oracle Tuxedo ART is a re-hosting product offering from Oracle built around Oracle Tuxedo recently brought to the market by Oracle Corporation. Oracle is offering the Oracle ART platform as a re-hosting solution to customers who want to retire applications running on IBM mainframes with a CICS-COBOL-DB2 combination. The offering comes bundled with a tool called “Refine” to automate migration of applications that Oracle has acquired from Metaware Technologies, France. Metalogic is in partnership with Metaware for implementation of their migration Tools and are working with Oracle to develop a relationship in application migration.

The key architectural considerations are : |

Data services (SQL) are provided on the Target by Oracle DB. |
|
Transactional services are provided by Oracle Tuxedo with its Application Runtime (ART) and CICS emulation environment, which runs Cobol transactions converted into Tuxedo COBOL/C services. |
|
UI remains as character mode. Web UI can also be an option. |
|
Batch services are provided by Oracle Tuxedo ART JES framework and Batch execution environment in conjunction with the Oracle Scheduler. |

The Asia Pacific (APAC) market too is coming up and MLS has forged a good relationship with Oracle with the potential to deliver value going forward. A case in point being one linked to the launch of Oracle Tuxedo ART product for the mainframe re-hosting market, that is set to see MLS actively working with Oracle closely in various APAC countries for pre-sales and early engagement with end customers. The pipeline is set to originate from territories like Thailand, Malaysia, Australia. Further with the completion of a proof-of-concept project in Thailand, this relationship is being viewed by the Company as one promising to deliver consistent value.
Being an existing partner of Oracle for it’s modernization product – Oracle Tuxedo ART, Metalogic with its experience in migration technologies over the last 14 plus years is best suited to enhance the coverage of Oracle Tuxedo based modernization portfolio by adding/ integrating new migration tools to Oracles Tuxedo ART suit as it exists today.
Oracle and Metalogic are focusing on two areas to leverage the modernization capability around Oracle Tuxedo –
1. Adding IMS DB migration capability to Oracle Tuxedo ART product suite for customers around the world.
2. Development of a IBM TPF migration solution around Oracle Tuxedo for Airline carriers around the world
The objective is to enhance the existing coverage of the Oracle Tuxedo based migration/ re-hosting products and thereby acquiring more customers/ business.
